While I stayed in a room at the nearby motel, they occupied a bedroom on the first floor of the historic house. That night a black shadow was seen "flying" across the floor and under a chair. When my daughter got up to investigate, she felt something give her a violent push. She sensed the presence of a very unhappy young person. I believe this experience to be true, even though I didn't witness it (thankfully, I hadn't taken that room and found myself alone with an unwelcome roommate).
