Activity Reports Click Here to submit a report ACTIVITY WITNESSED BY COLD SPOT: - Jay and Michelle heard a "tap, tap, tap" coming from one of the graves below them. It sounded similiar to the sound a woodpecker would make, yet sounded muffled. A cause for the activity was not found. -Janet complained of her hand becoming numb after dusting off a grave with it. The numbness remained for the duration of the investigation and was mysteriously gone when they left the cemetery. - Janet's batteries were drained in her camera while attempting to take a picture of an object. These were indeed new batteries. To double check, Michelle pulled out the batteries and put them back in again just to see if maybe jiggling them around would help but still no go. -although everybody on the crew has felt a warm spot coming from the statue whenever they go there, Janet, being more of a "sensitive" type of researcher, claimed she felt "something" walk through her in this area of the warm spot. She took a picture and said that just as she was snapping it the lanterns hanging next to the statue swung back and forth. There was no wind or breeze at this time. During one of the investigations after leaving the area of the statue, an odor of "fresh baked cookies" (shortbread?) followed them for the duration of the investigation. No cologne, perfume or food was worn or around. -on their way out Janet heard a voice say "Over here". She said it sounded like a high pitched child's voice. Of course, no children or people were around. -Janet and Michelle both witnessed a dim white orb fly just slightly above them, about 15-20 feet from the ground. There wasn't enough time to take a picture of it. It was just slightly bigger then a fist, and was not very bright. |

Conclusion "In my opinion, one of the photos (C2432A) can be explained as light reflection. The other two (C2432B and C2432C) I believe are moisture reflection. The fourth photo (C2432D) has my curiousity, and will require further analyzation. The suspected poltergeist activity that we experienced was the tapping noise coming from one of the graves. If it moves or makes a noise, then it is classified as a poltergeist. Albeit, this was a very mild form of poltergeist. Although we looked around for a bird in the trees or some other explanation and we were not able to determine the cause, I still feel that perhaps there was some other non-paranormal cause for what we heard. The problem with working outdoors is that the environment cannot be controlled very well. The noise we heard could have very well been an echo of some sort coming from another location in the cemetery. So it is difficult to assess this one. The flying orb of light that we witnessed could have been a fire fly. Although the fire flies that I have seen are a lot brighter and smaller. Mind you, we did just happen to look up as it passed by us so perhaps with optical illusion if it were a fire fly it so happened to look larger and not so bright. There is also the possibility that one of our flashlights was aimed upwards just as we looked up. Again, this happened so quickly and because it was outside it is difficult to say for sure. But nonetheless we have included it into our report to let you decide for yourself. The warm spot around the statue I cannot explain. For more then one person noted to me on the warmth coming from it. Again, being outdoors makes it more difficult to assess. As for Janet's hand feeling numb, well, nobody else's hands were numb after touching the grave. If she does really have some sort of psychic gift then I guess it wouldn't be far off to say that perhaps this numb feeling was a part of how her gift comes through. All in all, I have to say that although some oddities occurred, we really cannot present any conclusive evidence of paranormal activity here. This is not to say that nothing paranormal is going on here, just that we did not find any conclusive evidence of it. Just little bizarre occurrances. But ultimately, it is up to you to decide for yourself what you think." Michelle McKay, Cold Spot Paranormal Research |
